Mr. & Mrs. Will B. Homebuyer is looking for your home's commercial

Mr. and Mrs. Will B Homebuyer: "I am looking for your commercial and haven't been able to find it"
Mr. and Mrs. Wanna B. Homeseller: "Commercial? On T.V.? We don't have a commercial!"
Mr. and Mrs. Will B. Homebuyer: "No, not on T.V.! We are talking about your home's
commercial on the internet! We are looking on all the sites channels, Georgia MLS, Zillow, Realtor.com,
Trulia, and our Realtors' Web site and we are not finding your home's listing commercial"
Mr. and Mrs. Wanna B. Homeseller: "Well, it should be there! The home's been
listed! Are you sure you do not see our commercial? There are lots of pictures . . ."
Mr. and Mrs. Will B. Homebuyer: "Oh, there it is! Now we see it. Sorry!
We missed your listing commercial."
Mr. and Mrs. Wanna B. Homeseller: "Why did you miss our commercial?"
Mr. and Mrs. Will B. Homebuyer: "During your commercial we got up to
fix some popcorn and grab a cold beer."
Mr. and Mrs. Wanna B. Homeseller: "If you are interested in buying a product
that I am advertising, why did you not view watch my commercial about it?"
|
|
Mr. and Mrs. Will B. Homebuyer: "Your product is vacant. There were no details to
envision. Nothing grabbed our attention, so we fast-forwarded through it when we got back with our popcorn and beer. There are
so many products out there like yours for us to choose from and there are so many listings commercials to view
that we have narrowed our choices down to our 8 to 10 favorite commercials. We are going to visit and view those
homes products tomorrow. We are sorry, but we will not be visiting yours."
Moral of the Story: Favorably presenting and creatively marketing a product for sale has always been a
strategic part of successful business practices. Marketing your home for sale is no different. The Internet now
acts on your behalf as your homes commercial. At closing you will be paying for that commercial in commissions that
comes from your proceeds. It only makes sense that your commercial should be of quality, is eye catching, and displayed in a manor that
encourages sales.
Isn't that what commercials are supposed to do - encourage sales?
80% or more of today's home buyers first view the commercial listing of the home on the Internet
prior to physically visiting the property.
